ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS:  PROM IS MAY 6TH ON THE MICHIGAN PRINCESS RIVERBOAT.  TICKETS WILL GO ON SALE DURING BOTH LUNCHES BEGINNING APRIL 24TH THRU MAY 3RD.  TICKETS ARE $40 EACH AND COVER THE COST OF POST PROM. If you plan on bringing a guest from another school, you must have the guest form signed by administration BEFORE you can buy your prom ticket.  Guest forms are in the office!


Post Prom Come join the party after prom!  Royal Scot, 11-3:30 A.M., included in your prom ticket purchase.  If you are a Junior or Senior NOT going to prom, you can purchase a post prom ticket for $15.  You may also bring a non-dewitt guest, just complete the GOLD guest request form before buying your ticket.  Forms are on the counter in the main office.  As always, fun times are promised!  Great food, extra events, unlimited bowling & pool, and thousands of dollars of prizes for you to win!

ATTENTION SENIORS:

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO SIGN YOUR SENIOR T-SHIRT!!!  If you have not paid your dues, please see Mrs. Preston or Mrs. Kurncz.  You will be ordering your t-shirt size when you sign.


CAN DRIVE:

Boxes have been delivered to your seminar for the City of Lansing Rescue Mission Can Drive! Reminder: This is non-perishable canned food, NOT pop cans. The first 5 seminars to reach 50 cans will be #BLESSED with FREE DONUTS in addition to helping the less fortunate in the Lansing community! (Read until 4/28)


Attention All NHS Members interested in 3 Service Hours! Mr. Palmer and Mr. Delaney could use up to 8 students to help from 3PM until 6PM on Monday, April 24th to help supervise their annual after school 3 on 3 basketball tournament. If you are interested please call and leave a message with Mr. Delaney at 668-3332 or send him an email at: Delaneyb@dewittschools.net. The tournament is a lot of fun and we would love to have more High School Help than we have had in the past! (4/24)


Gentlemen of Dewitt: Go to Rehmann’s in St. Johns for your Prom Tuxedo needs!  They offer the best styles and prices you’ll find!  PLUS, Rehmann’s is donating $5 to Post Prom for each DeWitt tuxedo rented!!!    (Read through May 3rd)


Artwork to be picked up: Those of you who have taken an art class with Ms. Schultz at any point through the school year so far, your artwork is ready to be picked up. Please stop by the ceramics room as soon as possible. (4/21-4/28)


Lansing Maker Faire: Any students in need of community service hours or who are interested in volunteering to help the Lansing Maker Faire on Saturday: April 29 and Sunday April 30 should see Mr. LaFay room #205. The Lansing Maker Faire will be held at the Meridian Mall and is a fun event that features Lansing area inventors’ inventions; makers who build awesome stuff; the work of robotics organizations, and even a robot prom! This is one event you do not want to miss. (4/12- 4/28)


All Percussionists/Drummers who will be in marching band next fall need to meet with Mr. Norman at Seminar today.  (4/21)


Toronto Choir Rehearsal TODAY during Seminar. If you do not attend these rehearsals you will not be allowed to sing while on the trip (4/21).


Music Man Auditions are coming up on Monday! Some scheduled times have been changed - please check the choir room door for your audition time and come early! All auditions will take place in the Choir Room. (4/21, 4/24)


DeWitt Creativity Group thanks Student Government members for their work around the theme of water and its environmental impact. Also, the Delta Dental Water Bottle Fillers are greatly appreciated by staff and students alike. Great job Student Government! (4/17, 4/19, 4/21).


Japanese Club Members:  We will have a meeting today in the Library Lab during seminar.   (4/21)


FCCLA: Sara Sweeny, Allie Hegerfeld, Maddie Raynor and Ameya Anderson need to see Mrs. Blake today FRIDAY during seminar. (only today 4/21)

There will be a general membership seminar meeting next Monday (read through 4/24)


Student Services


Any Student that has not picked up their Academic Hall of Fame award can do so now.  Certificates can be picked up from your Seminar teacher. Letters and pins can be picked up in Student Services.

Students taking an AP Exam in May, there will be pre administration activities today during seminar in the Presentation Room.

If you are only taking an AP LATE exam, you do not need to attend this pre-administration session - you will be doing this at a different time.



Athletics / Recognitions


All football players who are signed up for the Clinton County Clean-up this week Saturday need to bring their release form to Coach Wilson by the end of this week.  He will also provide additional information that you will need.  If you do not have a copy of the release form, please stop by and get one from him. (4/17-4/21)


Girls interested in playing JV or Varsity basketball next year: Please get your Ferris, CMU and Northwood Shoot-out money turned in as soon as possible, so that we can make plans for June! Money can be turned in to Coach McCullen in Room 233. (4/21)

Congratulations go out to the top performers in the DeWitt  Math League this year.  The freshman champion was Kayla Carpenter, followed by Justus Holben, Josh Taft, Kelly Cochrane, Sydney Foster, and Nick Robinson.  The sophomore champion was Drew Keisling followed by Drew Yesmunt, Hannah Hutchinson, and Sydney Mills.  The juniors were lead by Zachary Matson, followed by Jacob Ayriss, Emma Breukink, and Stephanie Robinson.  Leading a strong performance by the seniors was Ian Robinson, followed by Alex Hostetler, Marissa Boynton, Brendan Kennedy, and Dylan Beck.
