Student Leadership Elections! Are you interested in becoming a member of Student Government or Class Officers? It is a great way to get involved in school leadership, being a member of your class, and representing the interests of your peers.  If you are, then you need to attend our Elections Meeting today during Seminar in Mrs. Anderson’s room 221. The election process will be explained as well as the roles of these two groups of students. Hope to see you there and bring a friend!

Student Leadership Camp! Are you interested in attending a summer camp focused on developing leadership skills and working with students from all across the State of Michigan? If so, then you need to attend Monday’s seminar meeting in Mrs. Anderson’s room - 221.  There you will learn all about this awesome opportunity to make new friends, develop great skills, and become a better leader in your school, sports teams, clubs, and our community. Scholarships are available! Hope to see you there!

Two Very Important Announcements for NHS Students -- If you are planning to participate in the “Day of Service” you need to sign up in Mr. Croley’s room by the end of the day today as location assignments will be determined early next week.

Senior NHS members --  if you want to wear a NHS stole at graduation you must turn in $23 by the end of day today as orders will soon be placed. Members who do not get their money in on time will be responsible for trying to secure their own.

Prom guest forms and Post Prom guest forms are available in the main office.  If you are bringing a guest from another school you will need a guest form and it must be filled out completely before buying tickets.  Tickets will go on sale on Monday, April 23. Prom tickets will cost $35 each and Post Prom tickets will be $15 each.

Post Prom: Luau 2018! Come join the Luau party at Zap Zone after prom from 11:15-3:30 A.M.!  Your $15 ticket includes unlimited lazer tag, bouncing in “Springz” trampoline area, Glo Golf, and bumper cars!  Along with delicious food and snacks, multiple raffle prizes every 15 minutes, and other activities such as henna & airbrush tattoo, and caricatures.  Arcade is pay on your own, so bring money for that if you wish. Even if you don’t go to Prom, you can still attend Post Prom if you’re a Jr. or Sr. So, put on the perfect Luau attire, and join the party at Zap Zone!  

APES Review Session- today in Mr. Thelen’s room to get the topics associated with the land and water units.  Stop by to get a sheet if you have prior commitments.

SADD Club is hosting DeWitt’s first AUGMENTED REALITY DISTRACTED DRIVING SIMULATOR experience this Wednesday, May 2. We will select 100-150 students to participate in an experience where you sit in a real car with Virtual reality goggles and experience the difficulties of distracted driving first hand. Students can expect to miss 40 minutes of class between 8:00 - 2:00  if they are selected to participate.

Marching Band: Rehearsals for Memorial Day will begin on May 7 and run on Monday’s and Wednesday’s until Memorial Day. Remember these are mandatory and part of your grade - be a good human and be there for AMERICA! (5/7)

There will be an AP LANG STUDY SESSION today in Mrs. Caler’s room during seminar. First semester and current students are welcome.

Students who had artwork in the community showcase or had art with Ms. Schultz during the third nine weeks, stop by Ms. Schultz’s room to pick up your artwork.  Today is the last day to pick up work!

Book Club - we will meet at Barnes and Nobles this coming Sunday - April 29th from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Bring your books. We will discuss the novel This is Where it Ends. We will also vote on our last book selection.See Mr. B, Lauren Kracko or Marie Vostrizansky for details. (4/27)

Athletics / Recognitions

Girls Varsity Soccer Congratulations to the girls varsity soccer team for defeating Okemos 4-2, Tuesday evening and defeating Charlotte 6-0 last night.  The teams current record is 6 wins, 1 tie, and 1 loss.
