There will be a BPA Membership meeting today in the Presentation Room.  This is an important meeting in order to prepare properly for our Regional Conference on Friday, January 11.(12/21)


FCCLA: There will be a meeting today, Friday the 21st in room 132. General membership meetings are every Friday. Please plan on attending. Sweatshirt order forms are due ASAP (12/21)


Come to the Writing Center any day during seminar for help on your writing assignments!  We are open every day! HELP US HELP YOU!


The Dewitt Book Drive had received over 1300 books, thank you to everyone who donated a book or books to this great cause!  Third place is O’Rourke with 127 books, second place is Rios with 140 books and the winning seminar with 321 books is Griffes. Congratulations to Griffes seminar class you won a pizza or donut party! (12/21)


Overdue library book fines have been put on any overdue book, your seminar teacher has a list of students with fines! If you have a overdue library book, please see Mrs. Sheridan during seminar to renew or return it.

Student Services

EISD Field Trip: Sophomores and Juniors if you are seriously interested in a Career Prep Program at LCC’s West Campus, please come down to Student Services to sign up. You will need to choose 3 programs of your choice to visit.  The field trip is Dec. 18th 8:30-11. Any questions please see your counselor.


Athletics / Recognitions

 


Men’s Swim and Dive Cruise to 132-48 Win Over Grand Ledge. The team was able to capture 1st place in 11 of 12 events on the night. Even more impressive on the victory was that DeWitt relay teams finished 1st and 2nd in all 3 relays. Top point scorer on the night was Dillon Blair with 16 points, winning all 4 of his events. Myles Michalski, Nate Schluckebier and Jackson Uyl all took 3 first places and a 2nd to score 14 points a piece. Rounding out the top six point scorers were sophomore Zach Young with 11 points and sophomore Ellis Davison with 10 points on the evening. Sophomore Avery Powell won the diving competition for a diving best 6 points. The very young squad of 28 athletes includes just 3 seniors, 5 juniors and 20 total sophomores and freshmen. The team now enters a crucial training phase of the season over break before returning to action Saturday, January 5th at the Saginaw Heritage Relays. (12/21)
