LINKS-- There is a meeting for all students enrolled in the LINKS class in Mr. Derdowski’s office in the library during seminar today.


If you have an overdue library book, and you want to avoid any fines or overdue notices than either renew or return your book. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Sheridan in the library.


Book Club: We are reading Emory’s Gift by W. Bruce Cameron. Please check the library for a copy. We are in the process of trying to find extras. As usual see Mr. B, Abbey Wade, or Lily Splawn for details.


Pride Alliance: is having a movie night in Mr. Croley's room to watch a short documentary about how people get along despite their differences in   Saugatuck-Douglas, Michigan, eat pizza, and talk. If you want to attend, please sign up on the sheet outside Mr. Croley's door. The movie night will be February 24, 2016 at 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. (1/27- 2/24)


Hey DHS!! Winterfest is coming around the corner, and spirit week is starting February 16th. Tuesday is PJ Day. Wednesday is sports day where you wear anything sports related, jerseys, uniform or athletic gear, then Thursday pick a friend for Twin Day, lastly on Friday the 19th pull out all your DeWitt spirit gear.

THEN Saturday, February 20th come out to Munn Ice Arena to skate with your friends for just $8! Doors open at 8:45.


Japanese Club Members:  We will have a club meeting next week on Wednesday, Feb. 3rd during seminar in Sensei’s room.  (2/3)


Buy Your Valentine a Rose!  The Valentine’s Day rose sale starts next week Monday, during both lunches.  Roses are $2 each, and you may buy just 1, or as many as you’d like!  Roses will be delivered Thursday February 11th during Seminar.  Who’s your Valentine???



Key Club meeting TODAY in the LIBRARY  We will be making signs for the Rose sale, as well as signing up to sell during lunches.  Please come join if you’d like and are feeling “artsy”!

Feminist Club will be meeting in the presentation room today. We have a guest speaker coming.

Student Services:

Seniors - Local Scholarship applications are due February 22nd so if you have not picked up any applications, please do so now.  Don’t miss this great opportunity!

AP Exams - Juniors and Seniors can now sign up to take the AP exams which will be held in May.  A $15.00 deposit per exam is required at the time of sign up.  The total cost for each exam is $92.00.  Sign up in Student Services.


Athletics / Recognitions


Boys Track meeting next Wednesday in the Library



Freshmen Boys Basketball had a win over Mason 55-20 to push their record to 11-0.  Great job! Ryan Heath led the team with 10 points and Logan Simon added 9 points.  They will head to Williamston on Tuesday.  


The JV Boys Basketball Team defeated Mason last night 49-24.  Nice job guys!  Their next outing is at Williamston on Tuesday. (1/29)
