BOOK CLUB: We will meet this coming Sunday, that is March 5th at Schuler’s Books and Music in Eastwood Town Center at high noon. We will discuss the Nicholas Sparks book we read and of course, vote on our next selection. If you can’t get enough Nicholas Sparks, this is the place for you, even if you are not technically a member, come out and chat. For those of you that do not share an interest in Nicholas Sparks, there is room for you as well; you can help select the next novel we will read. Today during Seminar there will be a "SHARE" in The Idea Hive a.k.a. Mr. Croley's room. All students and staff are welcome to attend. Members of The DeWitt Creativity Group and Creative Writing class are especially encouraged to attend to support those students who are sharing stories and creative pieces. If you have not attended a SHARE during Pride you are missing out. Come listen to student voices give inspirational, uplifting, and thoughtful testimonies, stories, and creative works. CALLING ALL TEENS!! Saturday March 11th, there will be a Dave Ramsey's TEEN Financial Peace class, at the DeWitt Junior High RM 118. Looking for teens ages 12-18 who are ready to learn how to save, budget, invest, and be excited about having a debt free future.
Class is March 11th 9am-12pm $10 to attend. Deadline to signup is March 3rd

Athletics / Recognitions
The Varsity Girls basketball team advanced to Friday night’s Class A District Finals with a 64-29 victory over Everett Wednesday night. Grace George led all scorers with 17 points, while Jessah McManus chipped in with 10 points. The girls play tonight at 7:00 against the host school - East Lansing, who our girls beat at the buzzer back in December. Come on out to show your support! (3/3)
The boys freshman basketball team: Completed their season with a 16-1 record after defeating rival Grand ledge 63-40 last night. Caileb Brown led the team with 18 points, while Mason “GIBBY” Gilbert added a season high 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Joey Villarreal pulled down 9 rebounds, while Mikhail Sacla and Evan Kennedy each had 6. The team's only loss was by 1 point. One basket away from perfection. Congratulations on a great season!
The boys freshman basketball team: Special news….. in a HEATED 1-on-1 game coach Steve Crowley defeated heavy favorite, Caileb Brown. Coach Crowley used his old timer’s skill set and basketball savvy to baffle the young hoop stud.… Way to go coach!
*Also, All freshman please bring your basketball gear to coach Phillips on Monday. Complete White and Blue jerseys and shorts, as well at your practice jersey. Please make sure they are washed and in a bag… you are welcome to stop by during seminar or after school. It will take 5-10 mins total.
Attention those of you planning to play a spring sport: Spring sports start March 13 and you must have a physical on file in order to try out. So, get this taken care of prior to tryouts or your coach will not be happy and you won’t be able to participate! (through March 8)
