Book Club - Please return This is Where it Ends - and grab Speak, our last book. Mr. B has a few copies left. We will meet Sunday May 20th at 11:00am at the Crafted Bean, here in DeWitt, for our last meeting of the year.  (5/11)


LINKS-  There will be a LINKS meeting in Ms. Huff’s room today. We are going on our end of the year field trip next week so stop by to get that information. The field trip is open to anyone who served in LINKS either the class or the club this year.

ALL library books are DUE May 18th!! If you have an overdue book it needs to be returned or paid for by May 18th! Any senior who has an overdue book please see Mrs. Sheridan a.s.a.p., regarding returning your book or paying your fine no later than May 18th!!


The DHS Pops Concert is next week! Tickets will be sold during lunches on Thursday the 17th and Friday the 18th. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students. (5/18)


Empathy and Inclusion Workshop students - For those that participated in the day of Empathy and Inclusion this year. If you are NOT in Mr. Croley’s Creative Leadership class, please see Mr. Croley or Mr. B before Tuesday  (5-14)


The Divided States of America - Come see the latest Act As If production. The show runs tonight and Saturday at 7:00pm in the high school auditorium. The sketch comedy exposes the small nuances that can cause friction in American culture today. Presented stylistically in the same fashion as the famed Second City Comedy Club in Chicago. According to Mr. Battaglia, “I laughed, I cried, I learned a little about Fortnight” So come together to support the theater department and your fellow students and citizens as they expose satire in the world of American culture today! Student Services

Interested in shaping the future? Use your voice and register to vote today. The Lansing league of women’s voters will be here during both lunches today to help students register. If you will be 18 by the November 6th election, you can register. Just bring an ID with you to the registration table at lunch.Voting is your chance to choose and make an impact.


Athletics / Recognitions

Girls Soccer - Congratulations to the DeWitt Girls Varsity Soccer team for defeating Waverly 6-0

Panther goals were scored by: Maria Horak, Alexa Brya, Chloe Averill, Isabelle Gilmore, Abigail Dawes, Teresa Ashbrook, Shelby Sims, and Kendra Brown.  Assists by Isabelle Gilmore, Kendra Brown, Abigail Dawes, Alyssa Estes and Lily Stephan (3). Kennedi Pugh had 3 saves. The team will head up to Traverse City this weekend for a tournament.


Girls Track & Field: Let’s give a shout out to the Track & Field Lady Panthers.  It took the last race of the evening to decide a very close track meet between St. Johns and DeWitt.  St. Johns won a very close 4x400 to win the meet. Nice effort Ladies!
