Attention all Sr. NHS members: Please stop down in Mr. Croley's room today after announcements to contribute to a short video for the upcoming induction ceremony. It is very  important that senior members make a personal contribution and make every effort to have their voice represented. Look for Elena Medrano and Corinne Baker upon arriving.


Book Club:Please return Girl on the Train to Mr. B.

- Our next selection is entitled It’s Kind of a Funny Story. See Mr. B so he can order one for you before Thanksgiving Break, the perfect time to curl up with a good book. (11-16)


Spanish Club: Our annual Salsa Contest is Monday in seminar! Make your best salsa at home this weekend and bring it in to share with your friends. Prizes for best salsa and more. We hope to see you there.

Student Services

               

EISD Field Trip: Sophomores and Juniors if you are seriously interested in a Career Prep Program at LCC’s West Campus, please come down to Student Services to sign up. You will need to choose 3 programs of your choice to visit.  The field trip is Dec. 18th 8:30-11. Any questions please see your counselor.

Athletics / Recognitions

 

Congratulations to the Varsity Quiz Bowl for capturing the CAAC League title this fall. Drew Keisling led the league in scoring while captain Kayla Carpenter and Phil Roragen also earned all-conference individual honors.  Our JV teams had strong league performances, too.

 

Attention Boys interested in Lacrosse: there will be a parent/player meeting for those interested in playing boys lacrosse on Monday, November 19 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Middle School Auditorium.  The focus will be on introduction of staff, high school program goals, and off-season training schedule and activities.


In Hockey News:  The Athletic Office is proud to announce that DeWitt High School has formed a new hockey co-op with St. Johns, Lansing Catholic, and Mason.  This team is now known as the Capital City Capitals or CC Caps for short. They are making the program’s home debut this Saturday at 8:00 p.m. vs. the Mt. Pleasant Oilers at Suburban Ice in East Lansing.  Go out and support he guys!
