Students from Mr. Croley’s class and the DeWitt Creativity Group will be hosting an open mic Poetry Slam on Monday, November 23rd and everyone is invited. This event will take place from 7pm until 8:30 in "The Idea Hive" a.k.a. Mr. Croley's room. (Refreshments will be provided) Students are encouraged to read an original work or a meaningful poem from a favorite author. The invitation also extends to those who might want to simply come and enjoy the positive vibe of words bouncing off the walls. Come enjoy the power of poetry while celebrating diversity, courage, and voices that matter. Bring a poem, bring a friend....stay awhile, make a friend..... leave feeling inspired. If you plan on attending, please take a minute to sign up on the door outside of Mr. Croley’s room by the end of today so that seating arrangements can be made accordingly. (Read Nov 18th and 20th)
Key Club: We will be meeting today in the presentation room, please attend. Also, Please sign up for a 2 hour shift of bell ringing raising money for The Salvation Army on Saturday November 28th or Saturday December 19th! Sign up is outside Mrs. Schafer’s room. Please consider donating to the "Pasta for Pennies" program which is a Seminar contest aimed to assist the Leukemia Society. Collection boxes will be in Seminar classes until November 24th. The class who raises the most money will be rewarded with an Olive Garden lunch.

Attention Juniors and Seniors….The Junior High is looking for student volunteers for an activity that the 8th graders will be participating in called Life Unplugged (formally the Reality Store). This event will take place on Tuesday, November 24. They are in need of at least 32 students from 7:45 -11:00 am and 6 students from 11:30 am-1:30 pm. Please stop into Students Services and sign up if you’re interested in volunteering for this activity.
Eaton Career Preparation center sign up begins today. If you are interested in enrolling in a Eaton RESA Career Preparation Center program for the 2016-2017 school year, come to Student Services and check out all the programs that will be offered. There will be a field trip in December for any student interested in this program. Sign up begins today!
