Key Club: Please check your information on the roster outside of Mrs. Schafer’s room, #120, to make sure the spelling of your name and e-mail are correct.  Please see Mrs. Schafer TODAY if you want to attend Fall Rally on November 14th, at Plymouth high school.  

Concession Volunteers Needed!   If you would like to work concessions tonight at our home playoff game Vs. Haslett, please see Mrs. Schafer ASAP!  This will count for community service hours if you are in need!  Looking for 3-4 responsible students.  The money earned goes toward 2016 Post Prom.

Conservation Club: there will be a Conservation club meeting in Mr. Acres room today after announcements.  This is a new club with the purpose of promoting a general interest, appreciation, and preservation of the outdoors.  We will be meeting to discuss the construction of rabbit habitats on the school campus.  Everyone is welcome please come and sign up today if you want to be involved in promotion and preservation of the outdoors.  

Today there will be a Pride Alliance meeting in Mr. Croley's room directly after announcements. The Pride Alliance works to embrace and support diversity while providing a safe and supportive environment where students can express themselves while working to better understand one another and the world in which they live. Members will work to create (and participate in) initiatives where collaboration, connectivity, and creative expression help to better educate and serve the needs of all students while providing unique learning opportunities that are both memorable and meaningful. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Next Wednesday (November 4th) during Pride there will be an NHS meeting for current members as well as those who are applying this year. The meeting will be held in Mr. Croley's room -- All students are highly encouraged to attend as a great deal of information will be shared.

Next Friday during Pride there will be a Student Government meeting in Mr. Croley's room. Please make arrangements to attend--Student Government members should be prepared to provide detailed briefs of current initiatives(11/6)

The Yearbook staff is in search of cool “offsite” photos that take place "outside" of school. Samples might include: shopping trips, going to the movies, going out to eat, studying groups, trips to coffee houses, college visits, or simply hanging out with friends. Please send photos to dewittyearbook16@gmail.com -- Make sure to identify people in the photos and give a brief description as to the location or action

DCG - There will be a DeWitt Creativity Group meeting on Friday Nov. 13th. The DCG works hard to develop your talents, interests, ideas, and leadership skills while working to strengthen your support network.  --Many updates will be discussed including the launch of "The SHARE" menu --the January Fashion Show, scholarship opportunities, and more. Come check it out and bring a friend.

Student Services:

College Visits today:  Lake Superior State will be visiting today. Sign up in Student Services if you wish to attend these college presentations.  

Scholarship opportunity: Michigan Education Association (MEA) scholarship opportunity is now available in Student Services.  Remember to check the Student Services Website for all available scholarships as the website is frequently updated with available scholarships.

Sign up for the practice SAT is now available online through DeWitt Community Education.  The full practice SAT will be held on Saturday, December 5 from approximately 7:45 am - 1:00 pm.  Cost is $35.00.  There is limited space for this practice test.

HOBY Leadership Essay is due to Student Services by Wednesday, November 4.  

NCAA Eligibility Meeting: All juniors who have registered with the NCAA Clearinghouse please come down to the presentation room on Wednesday, November 11th during Seminar.  Brief meeting to go over eligibility requirements.

Athletics / Recognitions

All girls interested in trying out for girls basketball in November: Be sure to have your athletic physical completed and turned in to the athletic office before tryouts begin on Monday - November 9th.  (10/30)
