NHS Meeting: There will be a NHS meeting for all returning senior members today  during seminar in Mr. Croley's room. All members are expected to be at the meeting.

Math Club: The first Math club meeting of the year will be during seminar on Monday in Mr. Servis’ room.  You can pick up a pass from Mr. Servis if you don’t have one yet. (10/5 and 10/8)

Art Club: There is a meeting during seminar today in Ms. Schultz’s room. (10/5)

LINKS CLUB- There is a LINKS CLUB meeting today in Ms. Huff’s room 235. All                   who are interested are welcome to attend.

NEW:  first ever DHS online journalism club! If you're interested in contributing to a new school magazine, join our club. The first meeting is October 17th during seminar in room 207. We need writers, photographers, editors, and more! Join our new journalism club by attending the seminar meeting in 207 on October 17th!

Student Services

Upcoming College Visits to DHS: Northern MI University is here today.  Sign up in Student Services if you plan on attending.

Central Michigan University onsite admissions will take place on Friday, October 12th.  Stop into Student Services and sign up if you wish to meet with the admissions advisor.  An admission decision will be made that day.

Attention Sophomores -  Sophomores interested in expanding their leadership skills - Student Services selects one student to participate in the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) program.  To be that potential students, please stop into Student Services for an essay application. Application deadline is Monday, November 5th.

Athletics / Recognitions

The Quiz Bowl team rocked the CAAC on Wednesday with excellent performances by the varsity and JV teams, including varsity victories over the defending state champions from Okemos High School, the academic stars from East Lansing High School, and our arch rivals from Haslett High School.

The Girls' Swim and Dive Team defeated St. Johns last night 128 to 58. Abby Gray,Allison Flannery, Amyah Seybert, Elise Snyder, Emily Luebs, Jordyn Shipps, Lisette Fenneuff, Monique Jackson, and Shelby Satkowiak all won first places. The girls set 31 personal records. (10/05)
