The Renaissance Club is excited to host our 2nd annual Seminar Door Decorating Contest. The theme is SPRING FEVER! So start thinking about warm spring weather and get creative. Design a door that will warm up our wintery spirits.

Judging will take place March 26 and winners will enjoy their prizes the last full day before spring break. Seminar teachers have contest information and rubrics, please contact Mrs. Marble if you have questions.

Next Monday -- March 19th there will be auditions for the spring show beginning at 2:45. Please plan on meeting in Mr. Croley's room directly after school on Tuesday as auditions will begin shortly thereafter. Students interested should sign up in Mr. Croley's room. Show dates are scheduled for May 10th, 11th, and 12th.

BOOK CLUB - Just a reminder - we are reading Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. If you are interested, you need to get a permission slips signed and returned to Mr. B. Then he can provide you a copy. Get reading. We will be meeting soon to discuss this fantastic coming of age story. (3/21)

Attention….Attention……. Attention…. ALL GAMERS: There is a video game party TONIGHT 6:00 PM to 11:00 in the DHS Library. Contest for this party will include: Smash Brothers 4, Madden 18, Wii Bowling, Rocket League 2 vs 2, and Call of Duty - Black Opps II - 2 vs 2. To be included in the tournaments you need to pre-pay during lunch today. Total for the party, including food and drink is only $5.00.  Show up and try to beat Coach Phillips in Wii Bowling, he is the defending State, Regional, and National champion!

Congratulations to the Chamber Choir, Bella Voce, and Concert Choir who all received Division I ratings at festival last Tuesday. Next up, Chamber, Women’s Select, and the Men of Chamber will compete for ensemble of the year, Emma Clark and Christine Ciucanu will compete for duet of the year, and Hannah Rick, Zack Freeman, Emma Clark, Alyssa Handspike, and Christine Ciucanu will compete for soloist of the year at State Solo & Ensemble on April 21st at McBain High School. Choirs’ New York Trip: There will be a meeting about the high school choirs’ trip on Thursday, March 22nd at 6pm in the choir room. You MUST attend this meeting in order to register for the trip, spots are limited. Remember that you must be signed up for a choir next year in order to go on the trip. (3/16)

Grease Auditions are coming up next Tuesday, March 20th. Your audition piece must be memorized and you must attend the dance audition at 2:30pm in the auditorium that day. To check your audition time please see the choir room door - there are over 115 students auditioning for the show so please be on time! Any men auditioning with “Greased Lightning” need to see Ms. Eldred TODAY! (3/16)

Marching Band next Wednesday, March 21 @ seminar will be final selection of drum major for next year. Be there if you are a member to make your voice heard. Don’t be late, we’re starting when the bell rings. (3/21)

Dewitt Community Showcase is almost here, Thursday, April 12th.  This is a great way to show off any musical talent you have to the community.  If you would like to have a 15 minute slot to sing or play an instrument, please see Mrs. Griffes or Mrs. Williams.  


There will be SAT study sessions this FRIDAY (March 16th) and next week on MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, and FRIDAY during seminar in Ms. Huff’s room 235. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Caler or Ms. Huff.

Student Services

Any student planning on taking an AP tests, sign up in Student Services.  A $15.00 deposit per test is due at the time of sign up.  There is an AP testing schedule posted in Student Services. Deadline is March 26th.
