Book Club: We are reading John Green’s Looking for Alaska. See Mr. B or Cheyenne Hicks for more information. We will begin online discussion this week and will meet at Schuler’s Books and Music in early December to discuss the book in its entirety.  (11-6)


“Class of” car decals will be sold for two weeks at lunches.  Beginning November 6th through November 21st, there will be a table set up for those that are interested in purchasing a car decal.  Please stop by and see the examples and order yours at lunch!!  The ART Department THANKS YOU!!


First nine weeks ceramics students If you are interested in glazing final projects, meet in Ms. Schultz’s room after school today!


DHS’ Fall Musical, The Music Man, opens Thursday! Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students. You can get your tickets online at dewittchoirs.org OR during lunches on Monday and Tuesday this week! (11/6)


Key Club If you want to be a member of DeWitt’s Key Club, and Key Club International, please turn in your $15 dues to the main office by November 10th.  Put in an envelope with your first and last name, and labeled Key Club Dues.  There will be an informational meeting and activities coming soon!  Contact Mrs. Schafer at the Junior High with questions, schafer@dewittschools.net


              Student Services

SAT Diagnostic Test Workshop - Saturday, December 2.  Sign up through DeWitt Community Education.  There are flyers in Student Services as well.

Sophomores and Juniors - There will be a visit to the Eaton Career Prep program on December 19th.  You must choose three programs to look at.  Sign up at Student Services!


Athletics / Recognitions

Girls Cross Country - Congrats go out to the Girls Cross Country team for placing 3rd overall in this past weekend’s State Cross Country Championships!  The Panthers were lead by Ashley Shipps, Katie Vitou, Hannah Adler, Kaitlyn Hynes, Elsa Rusthoven, Natalie Yabs, and Delaney Kirinovic.

Ashley Shipps, Katie Vitou, and Hannah Adler earned  All State status!!  Great season Ladies!!


WRESTLING: Anyone interested in wrestling this season meet right after announcements in the presentation room. Teachers please allow interested individuals to leave. Attendance will be sent out after.  (11/6)


The Girls' Swimming and Diving Team Finished 3rd in the CAAC Blue Division Championships this weekend.  They set 57 personal records.

Jordyn Shipps, Lisette Fenneuff, Victoria Powe, and Sydney Shipps - broke a 25 year old school record in the 200 medley relay

Jordyn Shipps broke the school record in the 50 freestyle

Jordyn Shipps broke the school record in the 100 freestyle

Karlie Janik, Sydney Shipps, Lisette Fenneuff, and Jordyn Shipps broke the school record in the 200 freestyle relay

Elise Snyder and Addison Bethard qualified for Diving Regionals on Thursday. (11/6)


Congratulations to the Marching Band and their 2nd place finish this weekend!!  Great job.
