FCCLA: Please get dues turned in as soon as possible. If you are working on Halloween Safety or Awareness Month activities, please plan on attending Monday and Wednesday seminar meetings. There will be a meeting THIS Monday and Wednesday during seminar (10/3)


Key Club: Key Club will be happening this year!  There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, October 3rd, in the library during Seminar OR after school Thursday, October 4th starting at 2:40.  If you want to give back to your community and the people in it, or step up as a leader, then Key Club is for you! Activities count toward required NHS hours, or if you have needed service hours for something else.  See Ms. Cotter in Mrs. Preston’s room (118), or e-mail Mrs. Schafer if you have questions. See you at the meeting!


D & D Club - officially we will meet every Wednesday to campaign. This week on Wednesday we will be in Mr. Battaglia’s room - #224. (10/3)



Student Services

Upcoming College Visits to DHS: Calvin College and Eastern MI University are here today and Northern MI University on Friday.  Sign up in Student Services if you plan on attending.

Central Michigan University onsite admissions will take place on Friday, October 12th.  Stop into Student Services and sign up if you wish to meet with the admissions advisor.  An admission decision will be made that day.

Attention Sophomores -  Sophomores interested in expanding their leadership skills - Student Services selects one student to participate in the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) program.  To be that potential students, please stop into Student Services for an essay application. Application deadline is Monday, November 5th.

Congrats go out to the Lady Panther Cross Country Team: The panthers won the Dewitt Invite this past Saturday. The panthers were led by a strong finish by Ashley Shipps, Kaitlyn Hynes, Sofia Perez just a few seconds separated these three. Also finishing strong was Elsa Rusthoven, Elise Snyder, Delaney Kirinovic and Grace Hungerford. Nice Job Ladies! (10-1)

 

Please congratulate Alyssa Luzkow for being Michigan Interscholastic  Horsemanship Associations Region E Champion of Division D teams for the second year in a row!  She beat all Division D teams by only 3 points overall after the 3-day show in Mason. State Finals will be in Midland, MI in October.  Way to go Alyssa!!
