Video Game Club: Attention students! Friday, Oct 21st, 2016 will be the first Video Game party of the year. From 5-11 PM. We will be having events with many of your favorite games to play with, and against your friends, meet new people, and perhaps settle some old rivalries. During the party, we will be hosting tournaments to hone your skills. Such as: Call of Duty, Super Smash Brothers, Rocket League, League of legends, and more. Sign-up will be available starting Monday, Oct. 17th at both lunches. If you plan on attending, you must sign-up before Friday, Oct. 21st. Admission is $5.00. The $5.00 covers entry to the party, enters you in as many tournaments as you wish, as well as PIZZA and POP. ALL STUDENTS: October is National Bullying Prevention Month and in honor of this very special campaign FCCLA is inviting you to attend a FREE event after school on Monday October 24th in room 132. The event will include a viewing of the acclaimed movie, “BULLY”. Snacks and beverages will be provided so please take a permission slip and sign up outside rom 132. Again, this is a FREE event.

Applications are now available for the HOBY State Leadership Seminar. This is open to any Sophomore student who wishes to explore and cultivate their personal leadership skills to become leaders in their school and community. Please stop into Student Services to pick up an application.
College Visits: Lansing Community College and Alma College will be visiting today during Seminar for anyone interested in hearing about these two fine colleges. Sign up in Student Services if you wish to attend.

Seniors: Central Michigan University will be doing their onsite admissions on Monday, October 24th. Stop into Student Services if you have any questions or would like to sign up to meet with the admissions representative.
Tutor opportunity: Any sophomore, junior or senior interested in tutoring, applications are now available in Student Services. We are still in need of students for tutoring.
Athletics / Recognitions
All freshman and JV boy basketball players will have a meeting today: any freshman boy interested in playing basketball this season the meeting will be in Coach Phillips room, #202 …. Any sophomore interested in playing JV basketball, the meeting will be in the library with Coach Flannery…. That’s today during SEMINAR. (10/17)

All girls interested in trying out for basketball this year: Be sure that you have turned in your physical and sports participation fees to Mrs. Wilson in the athletic office. If you are not currently in a Fall sport, you should be participating in the conditioning workouts with Coach Uyl every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00-4:00. Tryouts begin on Monday - November 7th! Congratulations to the girls golf team: The girls finished fifth overall out of 18 teams at the State Finals over the weekend. If you see Elaina DeRose, Mackenzie Smith, Lexie Brya, Erin Chapko, or Morgan Colby, tell them great job! Elaina DeRose finished 14th out of 108 players. Well done ladies!
Congrats to the Girl’s Cross Country team! The Lady Panthers were 4th overall out of 42 teams competing in this past weekend’s Greater Lansing Championship cross country meet. The panthers were led by Katie Vitou, Hannah Adler, Ashley Ships, Stephanie Robinson, Kelsey Grost, Natalie Yabs, and Sofia Perez. Great job Ladies!
