Theater Department: Attention all Theater students, curiosity seekers, and those of you who desire to part of something uniquely memorable and meaningful--Auditions for the winter show will take place next Thursday, Dec. 17th starting at 2:45. Please mark your calendars and plan on meeting in Mr. Croley’s room by 2:45 for a quick meeting prior to moving down to the theater. The show requires a cast that is extremely courageous, highly energetic, and understands the importance of discovering things which require them to go out of their comfort zone on a regular basis. Auditions should conclude by 5:30. (12/16)  

NHS Students: Reminder to all NHS students all dues should be collected by next Friday. A table will be located in the commons during lunch this Thursday as well as next Tuesday and Thursday. Checks for $20 can be made payable to DeWitt High School NHS. Also, all NHS members should plan on attending the NHS Induction Ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, December 15th from 6:30 - 8:00. This is a semi-formal event so dress accordingly. (12/11)

DeWitt Creativity Group and Pride Alliance - There will be a DCG and Pride Alliance meeting this Friday in Mr. Croley’s room. Please make every effort to attend. As new ideas and initiatives will be explored and voices heard. (12/11)

Renaissance Club:  Will be meeting today, in Mrs. Griffes’ room during seminar.

Ski & Snowboard Club: There is a meeting today in computer lab 1 during seminar.

Spanish Club:  We have a club meeting on Friday, December 11 in Mrs. Marble’s room during seminar.  

SADD Club:  We have a club meeting on Friday, December 11 in Mrs. Marble’s room during seminar.  

Attention Sophomores-If you are interested in attending the Michigan Youth Leadership Conference in the Spring or Summer of 2016 please pick up an application in the main office. Applications are due back to the office on December 11.  

Key Club Members:  Our meeting is in the presentation room today during seminar.  Come to sign up for:  Caroling!  Blanket making/after school party!  Adopting a family for the holidays!  And more!  (12/9)

Japanese Club Members:  We will be meeting next Wednesday in sensei’s room.  We will discuss further events.  (12/16)

Attention ALL students, dancers, athletes, band members, singers, girls, guys, and anyone who loves music! Are you interested in learning more about the DeWitt High School Colorguard?  You know, the performers with the flags on the football field with the Marching Band? Come and learn more about this fun and exciting activity that will allow you so much experience in performing and team building! The recruitment meeting is on Thursday, December 10 in the DHS band room after school.  You will meet the captains and members of the DHS Colorguard, spin a flag, and learn some of the 007 James Bond Show from 2015.  Bring questions! Student Services:

EISD Field Trip Permission Slips are due this Friday.  If you are signed up for the field trip on Tuesday, December 15, you must turn in your permission slip to Student Services by Friday.

Sign up today for the LCC Scholarship meeting which will be held on Monday, December 14 during Seminar.  Stop in Student Services to sign up.  

Scholarship opportunity for seniors - The GRBS Perseverance Award Scholarship Application is now available in Student Services.  If you are interested in this scholarship, please pick up an application.  

NCAA Eligibility: All juniors who have registered with the NCAA Clearinghouse please see Mr. Crowley to assure you are meeting all NCAA requirements.

Athletics / Recognitions

Ladies interested in Track & Field this spring:  Please plan to attend a brief meeting in the Panther Pause Café today during Seminar. (12/9)

Men interested in Track & Field this spring:  Please plan to attend a meeting in Mr. Acre’s room Friday, December 11 during seminar.  We will discuss winter workouts and lifting.  If you want to run track and cannot attend this meeting please sign up on the sheet outside of Coach Acre’s room.  (please include this 12-9 and 12-11)

Boys Freshmen Basketball opened up Monday with a big win over East Lansing 53-37.  Ben Tanke led the Panthers with 18 points and Ryan Heath added 11 points.  Great job team!

The Boys JV Basketball Team dropped their opener Monday night to East Lansing 49-54.  Their next game is at Mason on Thursday. (12/9)
