Students interested in competing in the American Mathematics Contest on Tuesday, February 2nd, can sign up in Mr. Servis’ room, #112 by Thursday, Jan 14th. (1/8 , 1/13)


Key Club:  Our next meeting will be Friday, January 15th, in the library.  Also, if you would like to volunteer your time at the Volunteers of America, there are some dates and times available, starting with this Saturday, January 16th!  Sign up outside Mrs. Schafer’s room.  


Concession Workers Needed!!!  Mrs. Schafer is looking for 1 student to work on Monday January 18th from 5:00 to 7:45 (at the latest).  Please see or e-mail Mrs. Schafer if you are able to help.  The money earned will go toward post prom 2016.


DeWitt Creativity Group  Students interested in participating in the fashion show at the Runway should attend a meeting today in Mr Croley’s room during Seminar. If you are not able to make the meeting, please plan on attending the Fashion Show Rehearsal in the Auditorium at 5:30 PM tomorrow Thursday, January 14, 2016.


Feminist Club has a meeting today in the library. This meeting is extremely important to attend if you plan on going to our next field trip. We also will be talking about our drive for the homeless and any other future ideas. (1/13)


Student Services:

Local Scholarship applications are now available! - Any senior interested in scholarship opportunities, stop into Student Services.  There are many great scholarships available for seniors.

AP Exams - Juniors and Seniors can now sign up to take the AP exams which will be held in May.  A $15.00 deposit per exam is required at the time of sign up.  The total cost for each exam is $92.00.  Sign up in Student Services.


Athletics / Recognitions


The Girls Varsity Basketball team moved to 9-0 on the season with a 49-34 victory over Lansing Waverly Friday night, and a 48-12 win over Mt. Pleasant last night.  Lilly George led the Panthers with 11 points, Grace George pulled down 8 rebounds and Jessah McManus dished out 6 assists against Waverly.  Tuesday night, Lilly George led all scorers with 12 points, while Jessah McManus and Summer Ward scored 9 and 8 respectively.  The Panthers travel to face arch-rival Haslett on Friday night at 6:00.  Come on out and show your support!  (1/13)


Boys Freshmen Basketball improved their to record 6-0 with a win over Mt. Pleasant.  Ben Tanke led the Panthers with 11 points and Thomas Brannen chipping in 8 points along with 4 steals. Jerod McCullen led the team in assists.  Great job team.  Their next game is home, Thursday against Haslett.


The JV boys basketball team defeated Mt. Pleasant 59-16 last night.  Great job guys!  They play next at home against conference rival, Haslett.  (1/13)


DeWitt Lacrosse Club Information Night - Wednesday, January 27th at 7:30 in the Junior High Auditorium.  This meeting is for girls and boys JV and Varsity players and parents.
