Talent Show  Do you have a hidden talent you’d like everyone to see? Come sign up for the talent show! To have an act in this year's show, sign up in the office, and for audition time slots, there is a sign up on the choir room door.

Poets and Money Lovers!: Hey DHS! The Creative Writing club wants to give you a chance to get your words out for cash! Enter your poetry to win many prizes including a $500 grand prize. Get some Fruit Snacks just for submitting a poem! Do this ASAP by seeing Kaila Marrison, Bekah Carter, or Mr. DeLaCruz for contest criteria or questions! Write on!

Attention BPA members who are going to States: We have a meeting today in the Presentation room right after announcements. Please be there. (3/16)

Next Saturday 20 DeWitt High School students will be featured in a unique fashion show which will be held at the new fashion incubator space Runway Lansing. Local designers will be featured as well as many DeWitt students who will take to the runway. This FREE event entitled  "An Urban Renewal Fashion Fest" is open to the public.Doors open at 6:00 with the fashion show starting at 6:30. Come support your fellow students and hear stories from local fashion designers.

BOOK CLUB: We are reading The Chocolate War by Robert Cormier. It is cautionary, high school tale about the difficulty in following your true self. When people are too afraid to stand together, we are destined to fall alone. This is a fantastic novel to read in high school.  Mr. B still has a few copies, stop by if you are interested. We will be discussing in seminar soon and then, for the final book discussion, we will meet on Saturday April 16th, at the Barnes and Nobles at 3pm. Book Clubbers will get store discounts on that day! (4-15)

If you have an overdue library book, please either return or renew your book. This will eliminate any fines you may have accumulated for that overdue book. See Mrs. Sheridan if you can not locate your book or if you have any questions.  (3/18)


Next Year’s Musical is...Cinderella! If you are interested in being a part of this magical musical there will be a mandatory meeting right after school on Wednesday, March 23rd in the choir room. At the meeting you will receive more information about the show, as well as audition materials, and sign-up for an audition time. Please see Mrs. Eldred is you have any questions. (3/23)

Student Services:

Attention Seniors - If you have any questions regarding graduation requirements, please stop in Student Services and make an appointment with your Counselor as soon as possible.

Seniors - We are still accepting scholarship applications for Shooks Science Scholarship and Dr. Grubaugh Outstanding Senior Mathematician Scholarship.  Also, the DeWitt Chamber of Commerce Scholarship is now available. Stop into student services to pick up these applications.

AP Exams - Juniors and Seniors can now sign up to take the AP exams which will be held in May.  A $15.00 deposit per exam is required at the time of sign up.  The total cost for each exam is $92.00.  Sign up in Student Services.

Course Selection guides for next year’s class schedule are now due to your Seminar teacher.  

Seniors - Please turn in your Class of 2016 Information Form that was handed out to you during the senior presentation.  Please turn the form into your Seminar teacher. We need this form from every senior!

Dual Enrollment-The last day to turn in dual enrollment forms for next year will be Friday, March 18. If your forms are not turned in by that date you will not be able to have dual enrollment on your schedule next year. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Patterson (3/16 and 3/18)
