Talent Show  Do have a hidden talent you’d like everyone to see? Come sign up for the talent show! To have an act in this year's show sign up in the office and for audition time slots there is a sign up on the choir room door.


NHS Meeting  -- Today during Pride there will be an NHS meeting in Mr.Croley's room. Updates of service learning opportunities will be discussed and a few new unique opportunities will be shared. All NHS members are expected to attend.


Next Saturday 20 DeWitt High School students will be featured in a unique fashion show which will be held at the new fashion incubator space Runway Lansing. Local designers will be featured as well as many DeWitt students who will take to the runway. This FREE event entitled  "An Urban Renewal Fashion Fest" is open to the public.Doors open at 6:00 with the fashion show starting at 6:30. Come support your fellow students and hear stories from local fashion designers.


CULINARY CLUB MEETING March 16 during seminar, room 207.


BOOK CLUB: We will meet Wednesday March 9th in Mr. B’s room. Please bring a book to nominate for our next reading selection. Or you can bring info from the web about a book you would like to read. We will make our selection that day. Then on Saturday April 16th, we will meet at Barnes and Nobles at 3pm to discuss. (3-9)


Congratulations to the DHS Choirs on their performances at Choral Festival yesterday at CMU. Bella Voce received an Excellent rating, both Chamber and Concert Choir received Superior ratings - the highest scores in the District. Nice job!


Japanese Club Members:  We will have a meeting next Wednesday, March 16th during seminar in Sensei’s room.  

Student Services:

Attention Seniors - If you have any questions regarding graduation requirements, please stop in Student Services and make an appointment with your Counselor as soon as possible.

Seniors - We are still accepting scholarship applications for Shooks Science Scholarship and Dr. Grubaugh Outstanding Senior Mathematician Scholarship.  Also, the DeWitt Chamber of Commerce Scholarship is now available. Stop into student services to pick up these applications.

AP Exams - Juniors and Seniors can now sign up to take the AP exams which will be held in May.  A $15.00 deposit per exam is required at the time of sign up.  The total cost for each exam is $92.00.  Sign up in Student Services.

Attention next year’s interested CCRESA students - There will be a field trip to the CCRESA program in St. Johns on Wednesday, March 15.  Please sign up in Student Services.  There is a signup sheet and permission slip on the counter.

Course Selection guides for next year’s class schedule are now due to your Seminar teacher.  

Seniors - Please turn in your Class of 2016 Information Form that was handed out to you during the senior presentation.  Please turn the form into your Seminar teacher. We need this form from every senior!




Athletics / Recognitions


ATTENTION ALL SOFTBALL PLAYERS:  If you are trying out for JV or VARSITY Softball, there will be a pre-season meeting WEDNESDAY, MARCH 9TH in COACH NOLEN’S ROOM 237, DURING SEMINAR.  MAKE PLANS TO ATTEND.  Tryouts begin March 14th. (3/2, 3/4, 3/9)


ATTENTION GIRLS TRACK & FIELD.  There will be a mandatory meeting for all girls participating in Track & Field this spring on Friday, March 11 during seminar in the Presentation Room.  Make plans to attend. (3/2, 3/4, 3/9, 3/11)


Attention boys planning to try out for golf on March 14. There will be a mandatory meeting in the commons on Friday, March 11 right after announcements. Please attend and have your physical completed prior to March 11.  (Read thru 3/11)


Attention Spring Sport Athletes: Make sure you have a physical completed and your form turned into the athletic office prior to the start of Spring sports on March. 14.  You must have a physical card on file in order to practice on March 14. (now until March 11)


Wrestling had a great showing at the palace this weekend.  Gabe Larner was all State with a 5th place finish and AUSTIN MELTON was the 145 pound champion dominating all opponents!  Nice Job guys! (3/9)


Attention to all girls planning to tryout for soccer this spring:  Tryouts will start next Monday, March 14th from 3:00 to 5:00 at soccerzone.  Bus time will be at 2:30 and we will leave near the weight room entrance.  Please bring a white DeWitt shirt, blue shorts, and shinguards, running shoes and cleats.  Please make sure you have a physical on file or you will not be able to attend.  If you have any questions, please come and see sensei.  (3/14)
