There is a CULINARY CLUB meeting today in Room 207. (11/16)


There will be a DeWitt Creativity Group meeting today in "The Idea Hive" -- Students who are in the Creative Leadership class this year should make every effort to attend. Any and all students are welcome to attend DCG meetings. The DCG is an all inclusive, embracing, and supportive group which embraces and nurtures idea sharing, self-expression, student empowerment, and creative initiatives and partnerships that encourage leadership and collaboration. Any student thinking about getting involved with a Theater Department production or creative initiative should plan on attending an important meeting in Mr. Croley's room today during Pride as details will be shared regarding upcoming productions, a Karaoke night, the Improv Troupe, and a winter talent show.(11/16)


It's transgender awareness month, and Pride Alliance will be giving out purple ribbons to show support and raise awareness for the transgender community. Ribbons will be available during both lunches near Mr. Croley's room. (11/18)


Key Club Meeting:  There will be an all member meeting today in the Library.  There will be sign ups for our upcoming events as well as continued work on the food drive.  Also, if you have not paid your dues for the year they will be collected as well. Use our Remind message for your pass from Seminar.  If you have not joined our Remind please do so! (11/16)


Can Food Drive: Key Club is sponsoring a Can food drive for our local food pantry at Redeemer Methodist Church.  Students and Staff are encouraged to bring in non perishable food items and monetary donations to help the food bank.  Items will be collected by Key Club members in the commons before school and during both lunches this week through Tuesday, November 22.  Students and Staff will be asked to identify their Seminar when turning in food items because the Seminar with the most food items donated at the end of the drive will receive a Pizza Party sponsored by Key Club! Additionally monetary donations will be collected in jars with teachers’ names on them.  The top 5 teachers with the most monetary donations to their jars will be receiving a pie in the face at lunch.  So bring in your donations to help our local food bank for the year!


SAT Test Workshop on December 3-DeWitt Community Education and Sylvan Learning Center is offering a SAT Workshop on Saturday, December 3 at DHS. Registration is open to DHS juniors (1st) and sophomores (2nd), then other school district students after November 1. Check out the DeWitt Community Education website to view the class flyer or to register. Don’t miss the great opportunity for SAT instruction.


Ceramics projects from NW1 are ready to be picked up in Ms. Schultz’s room. Please take everything except for the houses by Tuesday, Nov. 22.


Student Services

Ferris State University is visiting today during Seminar.  Sign up in Student Services if you wish to attend.  

Any current sophomore or junior interested in a Eaton ISD program for next year, please stop into Student Services to sign up for the field trip which will be held on Tuesday, December 20th.  There are a wide variety of career programs to choose from.  You must attend the field trip if you want to be considered for a program.



Athletics / Recognitions


Attention All Softball Players:  If you are planning on trying out for softball in the spring, there is a meeting in Coach Nolen’s room 237 on Friday November 11th.  Make plans to attend.

Congratulations to the top performers in this month Math League competition:  Seniors Marissa Boynton, Ian Robinson, and Alex Hostetler; Juniors Jacob Ayriss, Kristie Boynton, and Tanner Herald; Sophomores Drew Keisling and Grace Brown; Freshmen Kayla Carpenter, Sydney Foster, and Kaleb Wever.  (11/16)


There is a boys Lacrosse parent meeting Thursday, 11/17, in the presentation room at 7pm.
