Key Club Members - Our next meeting will be on today, November 2 during seminar in the library.  Bring your annual dues $15 to become a formal member and get ready to plan our first service activity! See an officer or our google classroom with questions.  If you can’t make the meeting we will also be meeting after school Wednesday in Mrs. Anderson’s room-221.(11/2)


2017 MLK Essay Contest-This contest is for 9th through 11th graders.  Pick up information in the main office.  You have a chance to win $500 and a free pizza.


BOOK CLUB: - We are reading Room by Emma Donoghue. Mr. Battaglia  does have a total of 4 copies but they go fast. Stop by room 224 if interested. If you are unable to obtain one through Mr. B or the libraries, see Tracy Piotrowicz or Hannah Hutchinson, as they can help you find a copy in most circumstances. Even if you are not officially in book club, you are always welcome to join the conversation. We will be posting a meeting time at Schuller’s Books and Music in order to discuss the novel, so start reading today. (keep through 11-11)


SEA Club- Our Can Drive Subcommittee will meet Monday, November 7th during seminar. (Last Date 11/7)


SAT Test Workshop on December 3-DeWitt Community Education and Sylvan Learning Center is offering a SAT Workshop on Saturday, December 3 at DHS. Registration is open to DHS juniors (1st) and sophomores (2nd), then other school district students after November 1. Check out the DeWitt Community Education website to view the class flyer or to register. Don’t miss the great opportunity for SAT instruction.


Student Services

The HOBY essay applications are due Tuesday, November 8th to Student Services.  

Any current sophomore or junior interested in a Eaton ISD program for next year, please stop into Student Services to sign up for the field trip which will be held on Tuesday, December 20th.  There are a wide variety of career programs to choose from.  You must attend the field trip if you want to be considered for a program.

Olivet College will be visiting today during seminar. Sign up in Student Services if you wish to attend.


Athletics / Recognitions

Wrestling- Anyone interested in wrestling this year please stop by Mr. Byars’ room during seminar.  Teachers please allow them to leave without a pass and Mr. Byars will send a list of attendees.  (11/2)


Attention all 9th-12th grade boys interested in Varsity Swimming and Diving this winter. Please plan on attending an informational meeting on Thursday, November 3rd at 8pm at the presentation room with one parent. Even if you have no experience but are interested Coach Delaney would love to have you attend the meeting! Captains are Ryan Armbrustmacher and Nick Schieberl and they can answer questions! Congrats to Dakota Dietz!  Dakota qualified for Cross Country States and will run at MIS this weekend!  (11/2)
