Attention BPA members: Our next meeting is today after announcements in the Presentation Room.  Contest assignments will be passed out. The Rake and Run is also after school today. Meet in the north lot at 2:50.  (11/4)


Culinary Club meetings during seminar in room 207 November 13 and 18. Bring your ideas and information!


Chess Club! We have a mandatory meeting today that all club members must attend if you wish to compete in our Fall Tournament! We will discuss the competition dates and awards, see you on the battlefront!


Key Club: We will be meeting Friday November 13th & November 20th in the presentation room, please attend at least one of those meeting dates!  


VETERANS DAY DRIVE:  Students interested in helping soldiers currently serving can donate items for care packages to be sent from DHS.  Some ideas are candy, snacks, stamps and envelopes, microwavable items and travel size toiletries.  These items can be collected in seminar classes next week.  See Abbey Wade if you have any further questions.


Robotics Club: Remember to bring in your signed forms for the tournament this weekend. If you were not at last week's meeting and are attending the tournament be sure to stop in Mr. Bush’s room and grab the forms. (11/5)


Today during seminar there will be an NHS meeting for current members as well as those who are applying this year. The meeting will be held in Mr. Croley's room -- All students are highly encouraged to attend as a great deal of information will be shared.


Teachers please double check that you have been given a collection box for the "Pasta for Pennies" program which is a Pride contest aimed to assist the Leukemia Society. The boxes will be in Pride classes until November 24th. The class who raises the most money will be rewarded with an Olive Garden lunch especially catered by Liam Lynch and select members of NHS.



The Filmmakers Society will be meeting today during Pride and should report to Mr. Croley's room directly after announcements.


DCG - There will be a DeWitt Creativity Group meeting on Friday Nov. 13th. The DCG works hard to develop your talents, interests, ideas, and leadership skills while working to strengthen your support network.  --Many updates will be discussed including the launch of "The SHARE" menu --the January Fashion Show, scholarship opportunities, and more. Come check it out and bring a friend.


Calligraphy Club: We will be meeting in Mr. Kloenhamer’s room today!!!


Student Services:


Eaton Career Preparation center sign up begins today.  If you are interested in enrolling in a Eaton RESA Career Preparation Center program for the 2016-2017 school year, come to Student Services and check out all the programs that will be offered.  There will be a field trip in December for any student interested in this program.  Sign up begins today!  

College Visits:  Michigan Tech University will be visiting today. Sign up in Student Services if you wish to attend these college presentations.  

Scholarship opportunity: Michigan Education Association (MEA) scholarship opportunity is now available in Student Services.  Remember to check the Student Services Website for all available scholarships as the website is frequently updated with available scholarships.

Sign up for the practice SAT is now available online through DeWitt Community Education.  The full practice SAT will be held on Saturday, December 5 from approximately 7:45 am - 1:00 pm.  Cost is $35.00.  There is limited space for this practice test.

HOBY Leadership Essay is due to Student Services today.  

NCAA Eligibility Meeting: All juniors who have registered with the NCAA Clearinghouse please come down to the presentation room on Wednesday, November 11th during Seminar.  Brief meeting to go over eligibility requirements.


Athletics / Recognitions


Congratulations to the Girls Cross Country Team that placed second out of a 14 team regional this past Friday. The meet was held at Uncle John’s Cider Mill. Hannah Adler was 1st overall and won the regional with a time of 9:07.  Katie Vitou was 4th, Ashley Shipps was 5th, Stephanie Robinson was 35th, Ashley Brzozowski was 36th, Natalie Yabs was 37th and Kara Johnson was 39th.

The team will compete in the State Finals next Saturday, 11/7/15, at 1:30 pm at Michigan International Speedway.  Great Job Ladies!!   (11/02/15)


Attention All High School Boys Interested In Swimming and Diving:

There will be an informational meeting in the Presentation Room On Wednesday, November 4th from 8-9PM. All athletes and one parent should plan on attending. Questions can be directed to Mr. Delaney through email or call 668-3332. Co-captains Ryan Armbrustmacher and Conor Sands can also help with any questions. (11/3-11/4)


Attention all boys trying out for jv basketball:  preseason conditioning will start Monday Nov. 9th and go through Thursday Nov. 12 from 7:20-8:30 p.m.  Conditioning will start at coach Reha’s classroom. (11-4, 11-6)
