Attention Juniors and Seniors with a 3.5 GPA or higher: If you are not currently a member of NHS and are interested in becoming a member please come to the auditorium during Pride today for an informational meeting.

Dewitt Business Professionals of America is hosting a Fall/Halloween Blood Drive , on Friday October 27th from 8:30am-2:15pm. When considering whether or not you should give, please keep in mind that your blood can SAVE LIVES and help someone who desperately needs it. This is your opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others!

*Enjoy refreshments after you donate

*Blood drive is Halloween themed!

*Students who are 16 years old must have a parent consent form

*Consent form can be found in the main office

*Make sure to bring a proof of age when you donate

ART CLUB will be working on the musical set after school Thursday until 6pm.  We need your help so if you can make it, meet us in the auditorium.  If rehearsal is going on, please enter quietly and sign in.  

The Art Department is having a fundraiser.  We are selling car decals with your Class Year on them.  Your seminar teachers should have the forms to pass out.  If you want to see the decals in person before purchasing, please see Ms. Norman.  There are examples for EACH GRADE LEVEL, even though most freshmen and sophomores don’t have their own cars...you can still purchase them!  There is white or a sparkle silver.  $4 each.  If your teacher does not pass them out, please come to the ART Department to pick up an order form!  

The Renaissance Club  - is hosting our 2nd annual Haunted Trail on Friday, October 27 after the home football game until 11:00 and Saturday, October 28 from 8:00 - 11:00. Admission is $3.00 per person. Come out for a fun scare before Halloween. All ages are welcome!

Stage Crew: Are you interested in learning more about what goes on backstage during the Musical? Have you ever wanted to be trained to run sound or lighting? Join the Stage Crew of The Music Man! There will be an informational meeting TODAY during Seminar in the Choir Room - be there! (10/25)

Key Club - There will be a Key Club meeting after school starting at 2:40 on Wednesday, October 25th, in the Commons.  Mrs. Schafer is VERY excited to talk with those interested in getting the club going this year!  Please attend to learn about membership and activities for the year. Dungeons and Dragons Club - If you are interested in playing D&D, please come to Mr. B’s room on Wednesday October 25th during seminar.  (10-25)

Book Club: We have our book. First you need to see Mr.B and/or Cheyenne Hicks for a informative handout that you need to have signed. Once you have a parent signature, please return it to Mr. B in order to check out your copy of Looking for Alaska, by John Green(10-31)

              Student Services

SAT Diagnostic Test Workshop - Saturday, December 2.  Sign up through DeWitt Community Education.  There are flyers in Student Services as well.

Sophomores and Juniors - After watching the Eaton Career Prep video in seminar and have an interest there is a visit on December 19th.  You must choose three programs to look at.  Sign up at Student Services!

Athletics / Recognitions

Congratulations to Elaina Derose who finished 12th overall out of 108 golfers at the Division 2 State Finals last weekend. Elaina was All State last year and will likely be again this year after voting later this week.  Way to go Elaina!  (10/27)

A shout out to the Quiz Bowl team for their win against Lansing Eastern at WKAR’s Quizbusters TV Program last night.  Playing for the team were Kayla Carpenter, Tanner Herald, Isaac Jen, and Drew Keisling.  Jacob Callaghan and Jason Porter were the alternates.

All girls interested in trying out for basketball must have their physicals and sports participation fees turned in to Mrs. Wilson in the athletic office before tryouts begin on November 6th! (10/20 - 10/27)

Boys Varsity Basketball meeting: There will be a meeting for 11th/12th grade boysl interested in trying out for Varsity basketball on Wednesday, October 25th in the Library during Seminar.

Gymnastics Meeting for anyone interested in competing on the St. Johns/DeWitt team, will be on Wednesday, October 25, at 6:30 p.m. in the St. Johns High School Food Commons.
