Mr. Gerwin

Hello! 

I'm Marshall Gerwin; if your last name starts with a letter Q through Z, I'm your counselor! The 25-26 school year will be my 3rd at DHS, and 5th full year as a school counselor. I've also worked in various support roles in schools, as a social worker (not in schools), and had some pretty fun part time jobs like driving/performing basic maintenance on city buses and bicycle repair, and landscaping. 

I'm originally from Maryland and graduated from the University of Maryland (Go Terps!). I started as a Mechanical Engineering Major before deciding (during my Junior year) that I'd rather work with people than machines. I changed my major and, after a victory lap (a much more fun way of saying it took me 5 years to finish my degree instead of 4), I graduated and moved to Indiana where my wife (then girlfriend) was doing grad school. My family has been in Michigan for 5 years now.
